TheTeen at Cheerleading Camp

Today was kindof a long day and I had a lot to do when we got home. We rode together, but when we got home the Dell discs were in and so Hubby G ran them to Best Buy so the Geek Squad can fix TheTeen's computer. This will completely wipe out anything on her computer b/c they'll completely reinstall the operating system. Hubby has not been impressed by the Geek's squad's performance thus far.

Mainly busy tonight with chores. Everything needed to be watered. Then I finished weeding the cherub garden - well let's just say I weeded it. I don't think I could ever finish weeding it! lol But it looks better and ready for our get together Saturday.

I had laundry to do and then I fixed dinner tonight. Fish sticks (which we usually have when TheTeen is gone as she does not like it). And green beans and macaroni and cheese. I've been craving some macaroni and cheese. I threw rosemary in it and it came out great. Rosemary seems to go with most any starch. Well maybe not baked beans. lol

Then clean up...then I mopped the kitchen floor and windexed some in the sunroom. All in prep for this weekend so I won't have so much to do then.

TheTeen left this morning at 6:45...well we dropped her off then and they left around 7:00. The girls all looked so cute. They have matching duffel bags with their name on them. I got a text from TheTeen tonight about 8:15 but I did not hear it. I checked my phone just a few minutes ago and was glad to see a text. I was hoping they got there and that no news was good news. The cheer coach was going to take their cell phones away until they are back at the hotel room each night. She texted that she had a "black nose" and a knot on her arm. I hope they make it thru without anyone getting hurt. I continue to ask for your prayers. I know that the camp really stretches them and challenges them. And I worry. The coach was wanting her to learn to "fly" and I don't want her to be a "flyer". I want her feet planted firmly!!! But when teaching others to fly the "ground crew" get black noses, black eyes etc while the flyer gets comfy with the new role.

Well, I am finally getting tired. It's once again way past my bedtime. I've been too keyed up to go to bed but I best go! We have a long day tomorrow. It'll be a good day, just a long one. I have Long Horn day with the girls at lunchtime. Then Hubby G and I are meeting an old friend of his for dinner tomorrow night. We are going out to eat and then going to hear someone play music afterwards. The show doesn't start until 9:00. I'm going to be so tired Thursday! I'm too old for late work nights.

TheTeen called just then...and she won an award tonight. She said her Coach is giving away awards each night. She got the "tannest legs" award! ha! She loved it. Her prize was sun screen.

Ok I have to go to bed somehow. No entry tomorrow night unless I get a minute from somewhere! I don't see it happening.

Nite Nite

I know my daughter went to several camps like that when she was in high school. I don't remember her ever having a black nose though. I'll have to ask her about that one. The Teen will be in my prayers for a safe and fun week at her camp. I hope you enjoy your long day. The evening sounds like fun, but late for a work night. Have a great HUMP day!

Bizzy, bizzy, bizzy one day you can slow down and watch the grass grow. Nah, you like the bizzy life.
If the Teen wants to fly, let her fly. Hope she enjoys the camp!

My daughter was a cheerleader all the way from kindergarden through High School. I recall one year at camp it was so hot her scap got sunburned. Hope those girls wear a hat if they are out all day doing stunts.
It made her many lifelong friends though, she loved cheering.

I'm glad the teen is having a good time at cheer camp. I wouldn't want Nicci to be a flyer either. Too dangerous!!

Have a good rest of your week.

Oh I didn't want Courtney to be a flyer either and when she was in cheerleading so long ago it seems now, I didn't let any of the little girls do any flying. It made me just too nervous. I let them do tiny pyramids and they liked that. So glad teen is safe and having fun though and arrived at camp. What a fun award she got! Sounds like we have both been weeding. Rob and I have done hours of endless weeding these past few evenings. I am so glad ours is finally all done. I will have to try some rosemary in our mac n cheese. It's a frequent dish on our table here.
