Had a great time last night with Hubby's friend from college. He was a really nice guy. He had his boss with him from California so the boss was wanting a taste of Nashville. We ate at the Iron Kettle. It was right across from Lipscomb University. It was really good. It was a meat and three. Then we headed over to the Station Inn. It is in the refurbished area of Nashville called The Gulch. The opener was quite a singer. She sang the classics and hit the notes as if she were one of the country legends herself. Her name was Alicia Kay. She is in the pic above. And in trying to google the spelling of her name, I found her MySpace site which actually has some of her own songs on there and you can listen to her voice. Listen to "Picture of Me", the classic - I like that one! Just click on any of the highlighted words here, of course, to visit any of the websites to learn more.
Here is Charlie Louvin below. He had a great voice for 82. He did a great job. Had a sense of humor too. About 10:30 though I had to ask Hubby G if he would take us home. I felt bad. But I was getting a weak feeling and needed sleep. He was not really ready to go but he is the loving spouse and got me home. I knocked off quickly. All I could do to brush my teeth and collapse.

Below are some blooms that popped up this week. They are Sweet Williams. They are plants about 1.5 to 2 feet high.

Here is a Hibiscus bloom. Lots more will be showing up soon.

Here was Hubby's dinner he fixed us Sunday night...the going away meal for TheTeen. We've not heard much from her this week. But she said that they had a good devo last night and no more black noses. Have not heard from her tonight. They come home tomorrow.
Look at Tugie here....she knows her Daddy will give her a bite from the table when no one is looking. ha.
We ate in the sunroom Sunday night to eat. It was a great meal.
This is our "Summer Staple" that is on the table every night now.....
Well, today I woke up tired. I have felt bad all day. Just drained. Like no energy. Even felt dizzy a couple of times. We have just been really busy and on the go and you know how I am. I get tired way quicker than the average person.Long day at work, but I had to do things after work. Hubby had to mow so I went to Providence to run some errands.
*Verizon - My phone acted up today even after the new software. So I was going to swap my phone since it is under warranty. Well, I park the car and try to see if it is messing up before I take it in. Of course, it works perfectly in the parking lot. I get home and it acts up again. Oh well. I did not swap it tonight but I may before long.
*Belk - Had to get make up and swap a shirt.
*Panera Bread Company - ate dinner there tonight. I had a bowl of soup and a small cobb salad. Oh it was great. I love that place. Their link here has some recipes on it.
*Home store, JC Penny's - shopping for Hubby some birthday items. I found success.
*Best Buy - p/u TheTeen's computer. I made them fire it up to show me it worked. I apologized but explained that the last time it didn't. So they were really nice. Said "hi" to friend Matt that works there (I also work with him at our day jobs). Then headed home.
*AT home: water flowers, do another load of laundry, reboot dishwasher and reload.
I'm totally flattened.
Tomorrow is another hard day...have to be at the plant early for 3rd shift. Then I have a 3 hour conference call from 9:00 to 12:00. Then I'll grab a bite and finish up some stuff in the office. I'll get off earlier since I'm going in early. Tomorrow when I get off I will go to the grocery store and get our items needed for our get together Saturday. I've started on the list but need to finish it up. I pick up Hubby's birthday cake tomorrow too. He's gonna love it.
Lots to do but fun times.
TheTeen just called. The coach had to have permission to let her drive home with Mawmaw (Flipper Friends grandma). The cheer coach said they won some blue ribbons. I can't wait to hear about it. Pray for their safe travels home tomorrow. She had to go as they were at Krystal and it was her turn to order. ha.
Ok, nite nite....more tomorrow!

Loved the pictures, especially the Hibiscus. (and the food) the evening out sounded great except you not feeling well. Hope you are better.
TAke care,
SHerry I Jack
None of my hibiscus are coming up this year! I'm so upset.
Speaking of dizzy spells, I've had a few the last couple of days again.
Have a great weekend.
Thanks for sharing the photos. The flowers are so pretty. I love the Panere Bread. My sister and I went there a couple times. Good foods and just a little pricey. I guess its like that everywhere else. You have a good weekend. Nancy
